Dr. B Li was one of the physicians instrumental in starting CVSA. He has greatly advanced our understanding of CVS’s pathology, diagnosis, and treatment. Dr. Li’s inﬂuence extends nationally and internationally. A teacher at heart, Dr. Li has mentored and trained young medical investigators, many of whom are now studying CVS.
Purpose of $10,000 Scholarship:
In honor of Dr. B Li’s retirement, the Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Association is announcing a new education initiative to help train new professional leaders in the treatment and research of CVS.
The fund is focused on assisting medical and graduate students, residents, fellows, and post-doctoral students in broadening their experiences and skills in the study of CVS.
The B Li Young Professional Development Fund seeks to encourage young clinicians and researchers to study and treat CVS in children and adults.
What the Fund Provides
1. A short internship with a CVS industry leaders or a research laboratory.
2. Attendance at a workshop, professional meeting, or visit to an international center.
3. Participation in events in which discussion of CVS is part of the program.
4. Help with publication costs.
Announcing: The Novak Travel Award
The ﬁrst major initiative sponsored by the B Li Young Professional Development Fund will be the Novak Travel Award. The Novak travel award will provide a $1,000 stipend to help a young professional attend a workshop, a professional meeting, or visit an international center focussing on studying CVS.
